As a nurse, Rita recognized her symptoms as multiple sclerosis. In 2000, when her MS progressed and she needed more care, she came to Inglis House – “to live in a good place.” She embodies Inglis’ mission to enable people with disabilities to achieve their goals and live life to the fullest. She is a resident advocate, trains staff about MS and enjoys cooking classes and movies. She is also writing a book about her experiences with MS and long term care. (www.inglis.org)
