Professional Experience
Stacy is an Associate at Laura Solomon & Associates, where she advises nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations on formation, board governance, tax compliance, and operational matters. With nearly seven years of legal experience advising charities and other tax-exempt entities, she is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations navigate complex regulatory landscapes so they can focus on serving their communities.
Before joining our firm, she spent nearly six years at DeBee Clark & Weber, where she advised tax-exempt entities on governance, compliance, and tax-related matters, as well as for-profit entities on formation, operations, restructuring, transactions, and succession planning. She also worked at the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, focusing on appellate advocacy in the Criminal Appeals Unit. Stacy’s experience in both private practice and public service, together with her nonprofit Board service and leadership, gives her a well-rounded perspective when counseling clients on charitable operations.
Professional Activities
Stacy has been actively involved in charitable organizations throughout her career. She has volunteered for nonprofits within and around her community and has chaired and served on nonprofit boards, providing strategic guidance on governance, bylaws, compliance, and operational policies to ensure organizations remain legally sound while fulfilling their missions.
Education and Licenses
Stacy holds a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Prior to pursuing law, she dedicated time to religious and ethical studies before shifting her career focus. Stacy later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2018 and is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma.
