Big Picture Philadelphia (BPP) provides transformative educational experiences for under-served high school youth through proven, sustainable educational practices and in so doing, contributes to Philadelphia's city-wide educational reform efforts. In 2009 BPP opened El Centro for students who had previously disengaged or disconnected from high school. In 2017 BPP opened Vaux BPHS, a SDP neighborhood high school in the Sharswood section of Philadelphia.
LS&A has been a vital partner since BPP's inception. In 2008 LS&A brought BPP into existence, and since that time has guided the development of the Board of Directors, addressed countless vital legal questions and needs pertaining to BPP's programming and led the process in developing a four way contract between BPP, the School District of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers and the Philadelphia Housing Authority that led to the creation of Vaux BPHS.
