Our Mission
Laurel House is a comprehensive domestic violence agency serving all of Montgomery County, PA, and is dedicated to the vision of ending domestic violence in each life, home, and community.The agency started over 40 years ago as an emergency shelter and has since expanded programs and services to include a 24-hour hotline, textline, transitional housing, a children's program, crisis response, individual and group counseling, legal services, and community education and training. Laurel House's mission is to advocate for and empower those impacted by domestic violence by providing crisis intervention, safe haven, supportive programs, and resources and to advance social change through preventative education, community training, and collaboration to foster a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
What LS&A has done for us
Having benefitted from several of Laura's presentations and trainings and having been impressed by her depth of knowledge and passion for her work, we knew she would be a good fit for our agency. Over the years, Laura and her team have been a reliable resource to Laurel House, advising us on a variety of non-profit management, administrative and legal issues.Laura and her team have provided outstanding assistance to our management and governance teams on multiple projects over the past several years. Most recently they have been instrumental in supporting us through our Capital Campaign, helping us create and implement a Naming Rights Agreement.
