Marie Keeley is an Associate at Laura Solomon and Associates, where she advises nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on all aspects of their activities. 

Marie has extensive experience with nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, having served as Senior Counsel for Albert Einstein Medical Center, including its nursing home, rehabilitation and physician subsidiaries, for more than twenty years. She provided comprehensive advice on formation, governance and organization, and for corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures with similar interest companies and organizations. She also advised on compliance issues such as HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid billing, state and federal corporate and regulatory requirements, and interacted with regulatory and accreditation agencies. In addition, Marie counseled on employment issues, drafted, reviewed and negotiated contracts with practitioners and vendors, and oversaw lease and public finance arrangements. 

Prior to joining L&A and serving as Senior Counsel to Einstein, Marie worked for a boutique law firm that provided regulatory, corporate compliance and transactional advice to practitioners in health care. Marie started as an Associate at Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll in its Public Finance and Business Departments. 

Education and Licenses 

Marie received a B.S. in Education from Temple University, magna cum laude, and a J.D. from Temple University School of Law, magna cum laude and Law Review. She is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
